Shallow water at Sorobon
At Lac Bay by Sorobon the water is shallow, warm and sheltered, with hardly any current. Young children can paddle happily and older children can take a first windsurfing lesson.
Donkeys and flamingos
At the Donkey Sanctuary near Kralendijk many donkeys roam freely and you can feed them carrots. Near the salt pans in the south you often see flamingos.
Kayaking through the mangroves
Guided kayak tours leave from the Mangrove Info Center at Lac Bay and paddle through the mangrove forest. The water is shallow and sheltered, so it suits beginners too.
Snorkelling from the shore
On much of the west coast you can walk straight into the water and see fish right away. With children, choose a calm spot, watch the waves and join a guide if in doubt. A boat trip to Klein Bonaire is a highlight for many families.
Staying as a family
Every bedroom in the villa has its own bathroom. Add the apartment and there is room for 9 guests, for example grandparents or a second family, with its own kitchen and porch. The private pool has no fence, so always keep an eye on young children.
